Once upon a time...

There was an enchanted neighborhood on Pittsburgh's enchanted North Side. Brighton Heights seemed like a normal community. But there was a problem…something was missing.

For years, the citizens of scenic and lovely Brighton Heights had been plagued with a curse. For you see, some years ago, the Great Mermaid of the Northwest formed an alliance with the House of Maxwell, to keep the good citizens from excellent coffee. From then on, the coffee of the neighborhood could only be mediocre at best; a bitter brew of disappointment and heartache.

The people could be oppressed no longer.

The Good King William Goodrich, who, along with his loyal Duke and Royal friend Sir Paul of Cozza, stood in front of a vacant building in the heart of this faire town. The storefront once allowed a bank to dwell within the walls, but now, its holy and sacred destiny became the solution to break the evil curse...

The neighbors needed a place to hang out.

The neighbors needed a place to be cool.

The neighbors needed a place to drink coffee.

The neighbors needed a place to rock n' roll.

An excellent coffee shop was just what the faire citizens of this wonderful neighborhood needed. But who could stand up to the Mermaid or the House of Maxwell? Who could end this curse of mediocrity and heartache?

This puzzled the Good King and Royal Duke. So they sent forth a royal decree:

Hear Ye

Hear Ye

Brave souls wanted.

True of heart and bitter of spirit.

Sarcastic yet begrudgingly helpful.

Passionate for the bean and able to vanquish our foes.

Who the #@$% can we call upon

To end the reign of the Mermaid and the wicked House of Maxwell?

One man and his posse of three answered the call. Yes, four men, whose only formidable skills were hanging out, being cool, drinking coffee, and rocking n' rolling. They were to be the ones to ride into Brighton Heights, coffee in hand…ready to do battle.

Their names were completely based on physical or personality traits:

Bradly
Bradly, the Beard-o
Drew
Drew, the Apathetic
Damon
Damon, the Red
and
Matt
Matt, the Pious

With the sunrise each morn, these men prepare for battle against The Great Mermaid and the wicked House of Maxwell.

Now they call upon you, the brave souls of the kingdom, to stand with them, hang out, be cool, drink coffee, and rock and roll.
